THE AUTHOR

Joe “Jose” Williams is a pastor and retired schoolteacher who lives on three acres of the beautiful Chihuahua desert outside of Anthony, New Mexico. From his home on the mesa overlooking the Rio Grande valley he has a “perfect view” of both the Organ mountains near Las Cruces New Mexico, the Franklin Mountains in El Paso Texas, and the Juarez Mountains of Old Mexico. He lives with his lovely wife Debra and their dog Liberty. He has three grown children, married to wonderful spouses, 5 grandchildren, two brothers, and lots of nephews and nieces that he loves very much. He is a native New Mexican and has hiked, fished, hunted, and explored the southwest his entire life. This is the first children’s book he has written and illustrated that he plans as a series of books about animals of the Chihuahua Desert. Each book teaches children strong moral lessons that will help them learn, obedience, love, acceptance, humility, and many other positive character traits. The books will be written in Spanish and English and reflect the unique culture of the border region the author lives in.
